You need an account to read books on the Service. You're responsible for keeping your sign-in credentials safe and for everything that happens under your account. If you suspect someone else is using it, email parth@brandboxai.app and we'll help.

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you're under the age of majority where you live, your parent or guardian must agree to these Terms on your behalf.

Every book we host is in the public domain — sourced from libraries like Standard Ebooks and Project Gutenberg. The underlying texts are free for anyone to read, copy, or redistribute under the terms of their original license. The specific edition, formatting, typography, and reading experience on Read Gently are ours.

We make no claim of ownership over the public-domain works themselves.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service to break any law, or to harass anyone.
• Attempt to break, probe, scrape at scale, or otherwise abuse the Service or its infrastructure.
• Reverse-engineer the Service, or use automated systems to make excessive requests.
• Resell, sublicense, or repackage the Service or its content under your own brand without our written permission.
• Interfere with another user's use of the Service.

The Service lets you save private notes, ratings, and reading progress. That data belongs to you — we just hold it for you. You can edit or delete it at any time. We don't share it, sell it, or display it to anyone else.

By using the Service, you grant us the limited, non-exclusive right to store and display your saved content back to you in the course of running the Service.

When you tap "catch me up" or ask the librarian for a recommendation, your request is sent to a third-party language model provider. Generated responses can be incorrect or incomplete. They're a starting point, not a final word. Don't rely on them for anything that matters.

We may add, change, or remove features, books, or rooms at any time. We'll try not to break things you depend on, but the Service is provided "as it is on a given day."

You can stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms or use the Service in a way that risks harm to other users or to us.

Sections that ought to survive termination — disclaimers, limitations of liability, governing law — survive.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don't promise the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any particular book will remain in the catalog indefinitely.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, BrandBox LLC and its affiliates won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100.00).

You agree to indemnify and hold BrandBox LLC harmless from any claim arising out of your misuse of the Service or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, USA, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. Any dispute that can't be resolved informally will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in New Jersey, and you consent to that venue.

If we change these Terms, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. If a change affects you materially, we'll let you know before it takes effect. Your continued use of the Service after the change means you accept the new Terms.
